Ingredients
  

  • 5 large croissants
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Notes

  • Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.   
  • Prepare Croissants: Slice each croissant in half lengthwise, but not all the way through.
  • Make Cookie Dough:
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.  
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.  
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Fill Croissants: Spoon or pipe a generous amount of cookie dough onto the bottom half of each croissant. Top with the other half of the croissant.
  • Bake: Place the filled croissants on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookie dough is golden brown and set.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the cookie croissants cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature
