How to prepare Honey Garlic Chicken?

For this recipe I suggest using boneless skinless chicken thighs because they cook well and are tender and juicy.
For the chicken marinating I mix garlic, ginger, normal Chinese soy sauce, honey and a little of vinegar as my basic sauce. That’s why we coat the chicken with cornstarch and all-purpose flour—to develop a crispy crust on the outside. When frying the chicken, you can use any oil of your desire, I used canola oil since it does not produce a strong flavor.
For the stir fry, it is advisable to use a lot of garlic and a small proportion of ginger. If you prefer a milder flavor, simply reduce the amount of garlic.
Besides the chicken, I include onions and bell peppers in the recipe as this will help to make the dish colorful and have a better texture. The sauce used for the chicken comprises of honey, soy sauce and a little addition of sesame oil to make it sweetish.
Use the best quality honey that is natural and free of additives. Don’t forget, you can also add drizzle of sriracha or chili flakes to the mix if you would like it spicy.
Marinate the Chicken
First of all let’s chop the chicken into thin strips or cubes. Then, add it to a bowl along with all the marinade ingredients to it and mix them up. Now if you want to make this spicier add kashmiri chili powder or little chili sauce.
Marshal this chicken for about 20 minutes and then take it aside. You can also chill it over night.
Now is the time to prepare the other ingredients like chopping ginger,gulr and onions into small pieces and cutting the peppers intosquares. Prepare the stir-fry ingredients before frying the chicken. After frying the chicken, add the sauce to create crispy fried chicken.
Fry Chicken
Warmup oil in a shallow pan, so that the oil should be deep enough to drown the food item at least half an inch. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces carefully that are marinated at your end. Fry them for 5-8 minutes, turning occasionally to achieve a golden brown crust on each side.
Make sure not to over bake the chicken so that it does not dry up inside. Once done, take out the chicken and placing into a plate with grated papers to drain excess oil.
Okay, this chicken is so good as is. I probably eat more than I should, under the excuse of trying :-). Also, my daughter loves these fried chicken bites.
Air Fry Chicken
Preheat the air fryer to 380F for 3 minutes. Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.
Prepare the Sauce & Stirfry

First of all prepare the sauce by combining all the following ingredients together.
I have garnishing and other stir fry ingredients prepared prior to frying the chicken to ensure that the chicken is crispy when added in the stir frying process.
In order to cook the stir-fry, place oil in a wok or large pan, then turn the heat on to high. This ensures the veggies are seared, so they cook well and remain crispy instead of steaming.
After the oil has been heated, the next thing to do is to add chopped ginger and garlic and also a pinch of chili pepper. Fry for roughly one minute stirring constantly until the spices become fragrant. Add onions, red bell peppers, and green bell peppers, and stir-fry the mixture for 1-2 minutes. Next, you should put the white parts of the spring onions to the pan and cook for yet another minute.
Next, add in the mixed sauce and then pour the corn starch diluted with water to thicken the gravy, stirring atthe same time. To make sure that the sauce has thickened, the sauce needs to be cooked for about a minute.
Last but not the least add the fried chicken and stir for a minute or so, mixing well so that the sauce envelops the chicken nicely.
