Chuck Roast Recipe Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 kg boneless chuck roast
- 2 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- Whole carrot
- 2 potatoes cut into large pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black paper powder
- 2 tomatoes
- red wine
- 1 bay leaf

How to prepare Chuck Roast Recipe
- Gather all ingredients
- Preheat oven 325 degrees F
- Put salt and paper on all side of beef. You want to give it a good coating for best and delicious flavor.
- In a large Dutch oven, place the olive oil or other vegetable oil medium to high heat. When the oil id warm add the beef and cook at that time when the all sides look golden brown. Remove to the plate and set aside.
- Add garlic, onion, carrot, potatoes, and 1 bay leaf in the pan sprinkle with salt and paper. Allow to cook until browned. Add tomatoes paste and cook 2-3 minutes.
- Deglaze the pan with the red wine, scraping up the brown bits from the bottom of the pan, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Again beef place in the pan and add some bay leaf on the beef.
- Cover and transfer in the preheated oven for 30 minutes and continue cooking until the beef is tender easy. About 1 ½ hours.
- Remove the bay leaves before serving.
- Transfer roast to a platter and let rest for 10-15 minutes. Slice and top with onions and gravy.
